Why don’t I like it when the abbreviation SEO is written in Russian letters as SEO?
I can understand when clients, programmers or designers make such a mistake, but if an SEO specialist himself writes that he is an SEO specialist, this is a big signal for me. In this case, his qualifications are questionable.
Of course, we often adapt English terms and abbreviations to the Russian language. For example, we often write URL (Uniform Resource Locator) as “url” or “urls” in the plural. However, with SEO the situation is a little different.
The catch is that there is an abbreviation CEO (Chief Executive Officer), which in Russian translates as “Chief Executive Officer”. When they send me a resume and it says “CEO,” I always want to clarify: are you applying for the position of director or are you applying for the position of SEO specialist?
