Setting up HURs (Human Readable URLs) for an online store on the Opencart platform using the SeoPro module allows you to easily and quickly set up unique URLs for each page. This process is important to improve search engine optimization and increase your store's online visibility.
To configure the CNC, go to the site’s administrative panel and select “System” > “Settings”, then click on “Edit”.
In the “Server” tab, set the following parameters:
Now, using FTP or other hosting access, open the site's root folder and look for the ".htaccess.txt" file. Rename it by removing the ".txt" part so it becomes a ".htaccess" file.
After that, go to Add-ons > Add-ons Manager and clear the cache using the corresponding button in the upper right corner.
After completing these steps, the CNC setup will be completed.
Go to Catalog > Products and select the product you want to edit.
In the “Data” section, fill in the SEO URL field, indicating what the link will look like. For example, by entering “/newadress”, you will receive the address “site.ru/newadress”.
Similar changes can be made for product categories.
You can also set CNC for manufacturers and information pages.
It is important to remember that the examples in this manual are based on the Russian assembly of the platform, which already has the SeoPro module installed. If you don't have it, you'll need to download it separately.
