We recently conducted an analysis of SEO optimization of websites of Belarusian sanatoriums. As part of the study, sites from various regions of the country were selected, and information was collected from popular search engines and directories. After a thorough check, we have compiled a ranking of the optimization quality of these sites.
When studying the demand for sanatorium services, we also studied the dynamics of search queries. In particular, queries on the topic “Trip to a sanatorium” are experiencing a noticeable growth, increasing the number of search queries every year. This indicates a growing interest in this service.
It should be noted that Belarusian sanatoriums are popular not only among local residents, but also among Russians, which is also confirmed by the increase in the number of requests on the topic of sanatoriums in Belarus. Interest in these services in general continues to grow, which is confirmed by the positive dynamics of seasonal demand.
For proper site indexing, the Robots.txt and Sitemap.xml files are required. These files help search robots understand which pages should be indexed and which should not. Sites without these files have problems with visibility in search engines.
Some of the sites in the study sample do not have Robots.txt or Sitemap.xml files, which significantly reduces their chances of successful indexing.
Almost 70% of sites limit the number of external links to 250. This suggests that the sites generally do not have a large link mass. On average, there were 215 external links per site.
We recommend gradually increasing the number of links to the site. It is important to avoid sudden jumps in the link mass, as this can negatively affect SEO and lead to sanctions from search engines.
Most sites have problems with micro markup. More than half of websites do not use Schema, which limits the ability to display rich snippets in search engines.
It is recommended to implement micro markup for all key elements of the site: addresses, prices, ratings and reviews. This will improve your search engine visibility and make your snippets more attractive.
Title and Description tags play a key role in SEO. However, on most sites examined, the tags are either too short or too long. This leads to incorrect display of snippets in search results.
It is important to monitor the length of tags so that they are not cut off in search results, and also that they accurately reflect the content of the page.
Reviews play a big role in making a decision about choosing a sanatorium. On average, each site has several hundred reviews, but most sites have fewer than 400 reviews on Google.
It is recommended to actively work with reviews, encourage customers to leave opinions about services and respond to reviews in a timely manner. This creates a positive impression of the company.
For a website to be successful, its performance is important. We noted that most sites do not have high performance ratings, especially on mobile devices. This can lead to a deterioration in user experience and, as a result, a decrease in search rankings.
It is recommended to optimize your site for faster loading by compressing images and eliminating technical errors that slow things down.
Another problem is website adaptability. Some resources have problems with the mobile version, as well as a lack of SSL certificates, which makes the sites less secure for users.
It is recommended to make the site fully responsive so that users can easily use it on any device. You also need to connect an SSL certificate to ensure secure connections.
For sanatorium websites, a booking system and the ability to order a call are important. These functions are present on a large number of sites, but not all resorts offer the opportunity to ask questions without an appointment.
If your site does not have a call order feature, we strongly recommend adding it, as it will improve the user experience.
As a result of the analysis, we came to the conclusion that to improve the SEO of most resort sites, several important improvements need to be implemented.
