We conducted an SEO audit of 23 websites of companies operating in the field of medical equipment in Minsk and the Minsk region. For this purpose, sites were selected from Yandex and Google search results.
The audit was carried out to assess the SEO effectiveness of sites. It is based on criteria such as indexing, links, tag optimization, markup, reputation, content uniqueness, site performance and usability. Each site was given a score based on these criteria, with a maximum possible score of 500.
Before sharing the results, let’s pay attention to the dynamics of demand for medical equipment in Minsk and the Minsk region. Based on search engine data, it can be observed that interest in medical products, such as blood pressure monitors, inhalers, chairs and others, varies significantly by season. For example, demand for blood pressure monitors typically increases in the fall, peaks in the winter, and declines significantly in the spring and summer.
All sites in the sample have a robots.txt file, which is a positive thing. However, during the analysis process, we discovered that most sites had duplicate home pages, which has a negative impact on indexing and ranking in search engines.
It is recommended to check your website for duplicate pages using services such as Google Search Console or Yandex.Webmaster. If duplicates are found, they need to be deleted or hidden from indexing using the robots.txt file.
According to statistics, 65% of websites link to 50 or fewer domains. The leader in link mass has 271 referring domains.
It is recommended to regularly increase your link mass, starting with a small frequency (for example, adding one link per week), and increase it gradually. It is important to consider the quality of links: links from large resources and industry portals will be more valuable for your site.
52% of sites do not have optimized Title tags, and 39% of sites do not use an H1 heading on the home page.
Tags should be informative and relevant to the content of the page. They should be long enough to fit in search snippets, but not too long that they get cut off. For Title we recommend using 50-100 characters, and for Description - 150-270 characters.
