Hello! Recently I decided to look at my old resume and remember how my career as an SEO specialist began. In previous posts, I talked about courses, tutors and how I wrote my resume. Today I want to share how I found my first job and what I did in it.
After I posted my resume, the first calls from employers began to arrive. At first I only communicated by phone, and this lasted about two weeks. There was no way I could get to the live interview. However, after several such conversations, I noticed which answers the interlocutors did not like. When I changed my approach, I began to be invited to personal meetings. The first ten interviews were difficult, I began to doubt whether I had made a mistake in choosing a profession. But thanks to good motivation and support, I did not lose my way.
I decided to look for a job as an assistant SEO specialist in specialized agencies. I rejected other options because I wanted to gain quality experience. I also refused to work remotely because I wanted to interact with experienced professionals in person.
One day I received a call with an offer from a company. We talked with the HR manager, and I was left with positive impressions of the conversation. After that, they sent me a small test task, which I completed with ease. Next they offered me an interview with my future supervisor. Since the work was remote, communication took place via Skype.
After the interview, I was offered the position of assistant SEO specialist with a salary for a probationary period. I agreed, despite the fact that I initially did not want to work remotely. The company I was invited to was a large agency with a large staff and a well-organized team.
My mentor was Tashira, a professional in her field and a very good person. I am grateful to her for all her help and support. She taught me a lot and always helped me when difficulties arose. We mainly worked on promoting websites in the niche of repairing household appliances, although there were other projects, but 80% of the work was taken up by just those.
During the year of work I achieved good results. I brought one of the sites to the TOP for the request “washing machine repair”, another for the repair of household appliances. Working for Moscow, I faced strong competition. It’s a pity that at that moment I didn’t start creating a portfolio - these were excellent examples for cases.

I really value the experience I received at this agency and am proud of the results of my work. I am grateful to all my colleagues for their joint work, and especially to Tashira and Ksenia for their mentoring and help.
