I experimented several times, posting hundreds and even thousands of PDF files with unique content and links to promoted pages on different sites. The result was clear: PDF links have almost no noticeable effect. The investment of time and effort is not worth it, even if you use automated tools.

Links in PDF files, as a rule, do not have a significant impact on SEO, especially when it comes to queries that already have such documents in the TOP search results. These are often low-frequency queries, and if you see a PDF file among the results, this usually signals that you can get to this top with minimal effort and cost.
