SEO promotion: prospects and opportunities
Today everyone knows that many popular platforms are blocked in Russia. Some of them are recognized as extremist organizations, which entails not only blocking, but also restrictions on the use of logos and mentions of such services. I wrote about such innovations in my blog, so you need to be attentive to the legal aspects.
Due to blocking, ad traffic and advertising budgets that were previously directed to these platforms are now in limbo, and advertisers are looking for new ways to promote.
At the moment, Google advertising has been suspended, but the results of SEO promotion have become much more noticeable. We see from our projects that conversions from Google for the same positions have improved significantly. This means that now is a great time to promote both in Yandex and Google.
Promotion on Google
Now it is very important to strengthen promotion on Google, since the number of clicks from the same positions has increased. If you have queries that are close to the TOP (on the second or third page), then you should work on promoting them as soon as possible. Even if your site's rankings aren't that high yet, this is a great time to start working on improving them. Taking into account the unstable situation with sanctions and possible blocking, SEO promotion still remains an important area in which to invest.
I don't think Google will be blocked anytime soon. Even despite the sanctions, Google will likely remain available in Russia, unlike other platforms. Therefore, it is worth continuing to promote sites through this search engine.
Promotion in Yandex
The situation with Yandex is similar. After advertising budgets left Google and blocked social networks, some advertisers redirected their money to Yandex.Direct. This has led to higher rates and increased competition. However, SEO remains more profitable in terms of return on investment, as before, although it takes time - usually six months or more - for SEO to overtake other channels.
Now that competition for advertising positions is increasing, SEO continues to be one of the most effective channels. So it is important to continue promoting through SEO.
