Today we will share with you an example of successful SEO promotion for a manufacturer of awards and prizes, such as cups, medals, certificates and other souvenirs for various events and activities.

In this article we will tell you how we managed to increase organic traffic on the site fourfold in six months, what we did, and what results were obtained.

Start of work: November

Client's problem: the previous contractor did not achieve success in promotion, and the site was redesigned.

Before work began: organic traffic was about 1,500 clicks per month.

Promotion period: 5 months, including the preparatory stage.

Result: At the moment, organic traffic consistently exceeds 2,500 transitions per month.

Works of the first month

At the first stage of work, a deep study of the semantic core of the project was carried out. We collected more than 1,000 key queries for Google and Yandex, clustered them into more than 100 clusters in order to correctly distribute keywords across the site's pages.

In addition, the redesign of the old website was completed, and SEO specialists provided full support during the implementation of the new design. We have prepared a list of more than 10 recommendations for website development, which allowed us to avoid problems in the future and save the client money.

After the new site was launched, we re-checked it: broken links were eliminated, loading speed was optimized, micro markup and image alts were checked. A map of alts has also been prepared for the entire site, based on new semantics.

A position tracking project was created and we recorded initial traffic and search engine ranking data.

Next, we conducted a detailed audit of the main competitors, drew up a promotion strategy, and selected key queries with low promotion complexity (according to the KD indicator in Ahrefs). To purchase links, we used the best sites of competitors and thematic sites with traffic of more than 10,000 visitors per month and DR indicator > 30.

Communication with the client was also established and regular reports were established. All working documents and budgets were completely open to the client. In some cases, video presentations of reports were recorded and online meetings were held.

Regular SEO and link purchasing

Every month, 10 SEO texts were published on the site, including articles with question and answer blocks that were used in the FAQ micro-markup. A blog was also deployed as an additional source of traffic.

The budget for purchasing links varied, but on average was about 10,000 rubles per month. We used both links from exchanges and direct purchases on advertising and news platforms.

Dynamics of link mass and organic traffic growth

Thanks to a systematic approach to SEO and purchasing quality links, we have achieved significant growth in organic traffic. Already at the moment, more than 100 queries with a frequency of more than 100 searches per month are in the top ten search engines.

Plans for the future: We plan to compete with the largest marketplaces, as well as bring all categories of the site to the TOP 10 of search results. Over the course of a year of promotion, we expect traffic to grow 4 times. Plans also include conducting a UI/UX audit of the site and comparison with competitors to improve conversion rates (CR) and return on investment (ROI).
