Hello! Today we’ll tell you how we helped a client working in the auto parts industry increase traffic to the site and regained his trust in marketers. In this case study, we explain in detail what steps we took to achieve success, and how we proved that fair SEO is possible.
Client: Auto repair store that doesn't trust marketers
Stage 1: planned the work and established reporting
Stage 2: collected semantics into sections
Stage 3: created new pages for subsections
Stage 4: regionalization finalized
Stage 5: filled out the “Blog” section and covered as many queries as possible
Result: traffic growth and client trust
? Bonus: How to understand that an agency is not deceiving - a reminder for clients
One of our clients, an online store specializing in the sale of equipment for car service centers, came to us with a problem: previous marketers did not meet his expectations. The reports he received were too vague and the actual results did not live up to the promises. For example, they showed the same works, but under different names, without explaining what they were doing.
Since the project was not bringing the expected traffic, we took on the task of changing the situation and proving that SEO can truly work. We set up our work with the client in such a way as to eliminate all doubts from the very beginning and demonstrate transparency of work.
First, we assessed the current site. It was well executed from a technical point of view and did not require any modifications. Also, usability was at the proper level. This allowed us to jump straight into SEO optimization without wasting time on technical improvements.
One of the first steps was to establish reporting. We provided access to analytical systems so that the client could independently monitor the work process. This created an atmosphere of trust and openness.
To begin with, we started working with the semantic core. Typically, for such a project, a large list of key phrases is collected that the client can use to attract traffic. However, due to the huge range of products, we decided not to collect all the semantics at once, but to work in separate sections, starting with the most popular ones.
There were too many products in the store, for example, in the “Hydraulics” section there were more than 400 items. Therefore, we began collecting key phrases for individual product categories and immediately created pages for them, which allowed us to quickly receive traffic.
For each category, we began to create separate pages with texts optimized for the collected key phrases. At first, difficulties arose with the texts: the automotive topic is quite specific, and to write high-quality content you need to have a good understanding of the terms. However, we found authors who successfully completed this task.
Our goal was to create pages that would not only attract traffic, but also be of high quality. As a result, the texts were agreed upon with minimal edits, which speeded up the process.
Since the demand for goods was throughout Russia, we began to work on the regionality of the site. We created subdomains for various cities and began optimizing pages with a focus on local queries. This allowed us to target clients in different regions and attract more targeted traffic.
To do this, we changed key phrases, for example, instead of “buy a jack” we used “buy a jack in Moscow” or “in Chelyabinsk”. This not only helped improve rankings, but also allowed users to find the information they needed faster.
In order to cover all key queries, we began to actively fill out the blog section. Many user requests are informational in nature, and often site visitors are not ready to immediately make a purchase, but are looking for information about the product. We created articles that answered these questions and helped users better understand what they needed to make a purchase.
This approach allowed us to cover a wider range of requests and attract additional traffic. Although users who come through information queries are not as interested in making an immediate purchase, they can still become customers if you offer them useful content.
As a result of our work, traffic to the site has increased significantly. We are promoting over 2,000 queries and the number of visits to the site has increased from 10,000 to 18,000 per month.
Although the niche of auto repair products is narrow and does not provide opportunities for dramatic growth, we have still achieved significant results. The most important achievement is that we were able to regain the client's trust. We regularly provide reports and access to analytics systems so that our client can always track the results of their work.
We have also established personal contact, and even if the client does not come to the office, he can always receive detailed information about the progress of the work. We believe that this approach helps not only achieve excellent results, but also build long-term relationships with clients.
