  • Analyze the link mass of competitors using special services.
  • Check the age of competitors' websites in the TOP.
  • Research the age of competitors' domains.

How to analyze competitors in SEO promotion?

When you start promoting, you already have an idea of ​​the key queries for which you want to reach the TOP. You enter the desired query into the search bar, and a list of 10 sites in organic results appears in front of you. Remember that the first 1-4 places may be occupied by advertisements.

Create a table in Excel and record data about sites from the TOP 10. It is important to include the following columns:

  • Domain registration date.
  • ICS site.
  • Site age.
  • Domain age.
  • Link mass (incoming and outgoing links).
  • Number of pages in the Yandex and Google index (using the "site" command :example .com").
  • Traffic per day.
