Today we’ll talk about such an important concept as the “semantic core” (SC). Simply put, this is a set of search queries (words or phrases) for which you want to promote your site. These queries, or “keywords,” must be correctly distributed among the pages of the site, creating for each of them so-called landing pages that will be as relevant as possible to the query.
If you are familiar with the work of creating ads for contextual or targeted advertising, then it will not be difficult for you to understand the principle of working with the semantic core. Search queries are used when writing meta tags (title, h1, description, alt), as well as in texts, articles, descriptions of goods and services posted on the site. The more keywords you use, the easier it will be for the search engine to understand what exactly the content on your page is about.
However, it is important not to overdo it with keywords, because the texts should remain natural and readable. Once you have collected a semantic core, do not forget to segment it not only by topic, but also by other criteria in order to improve the structure and efficiency of work.
Not long ago I heard from one specialist that he did the clustering of the semantic core incorrectly. Do you think this is possible? Share your opinion in the comments.
