A company engaged in the production of custom-made functional furniture. Their range includes transformable beds, dresser tables, folding armrests and other solutions for small apartments where it is important to make the most of space.
The initial task was technical support for the site. The client was faced with the difficulty of finding a specialist to work with a website on an old CMS that uses unique templates. This became a problem as most contractors were reluctant to work with an outdated platform that was slowly becoming obsolete.
We decided to take on this challenge, because we have the necessary skills to work with such a system, and we successfully completed the task.
We took on the solution to the technical problems that were at that time: we reworked some design elements, updated the main page and made adjustments to the content at the client’s request.
The main difficulty was that simple tasks take much longer on this CMS. For example, it took about 30 hours to change the linking, while on more modern platforms this process takes several times less time.
However, the client appreciated our efforts and decided to continue cooperation for further SEO promotion.
Before moving on to promotion, we conducted a thorough technical audit of the site. We fixed the problems that prevented the site from rising in search results. Unnecessary pages were closed from indexing, loading speed was improved, and key technical parameters that affected SEO were adjusted.
We also conducted a commercial audit to ensure that the site is ready to receive additional users and orders. We checked the functionality of contact forms and the functionality of the shopping cart for the convenience of users.
We started optimization from the most important stage - selecting a semantic core. To do this, we researched which phrases would be most relevant to the target audience. It is important to note that the client’s goods are not mass-produced furniture, but individually selected solutions that are ordered according to specific parameters. This means that queries for such products will be more difficult and less popular, but at the same time they will be more targeted.
For example, the request “order a bed” is popular, but requests like “smart furniture transformers” may be less frequent, but much more specific to the needs of the manufacturer.
We selected a number of such low-frequency queries and created about 400 key phrases, which were gradually expanded. These phrases were also grouped by product type, such as office furniture or children's rooms.
To attract not only buyers, but also to create interest in the brand, we have added a section with useful articles. For example, users looking for tips on interior organization might come across an article about functional furniture and might be interested in ordering it.
After implementing all the optimizations, the site showed a steady increase in traffic. The number of visits from search engines has increased several times: from 1000 to 4000 visits per month in Yandex, from 2000 to 7000 in Google.
This can also be seen in the comparison of traffic over the past years. Thanks to an effective SEO strategy, the site achieved top results for most queries. For example, the query “smart furniture transformers” now leads to the first place in the search results.
