Some novice SEO specialists, in an effort to quickly promote their sites, use dishonest optimization methods called “black hat SEO”. These methods may include buying links and manipulating content, which ultimately leads to penalties from search engines.
Search engines actively combat such methods using automatic algorithms. One such algorithm is “Minusinsk,” which was developed to identify and punish sites that use prohibited SEO methods. The Minusinsk algorithm got its name not from the city in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, but from a mathematical symbol symbolizing the exclusion of sites from search results.
The Minusinsk algorithm checks sites for the presence of “black hat” SEO methods and can significantly lower their positions in search results for several months. Sites that fall under Minusinsk sanctions not only lose visibility in search engines, but may also lose their TIC. Using techniques like SEO linking will only make your site worse.
The main way to fall under Minusinsk sanctions is the use of SEO links, especially those purchased through exchanges. The more such links you place on the site, the higher the likelihood of falling under sanctions. Thus, site owners are trying to make money by advertising or buy links for promotion through exchanges, where such advertising units are the “currency”.
The search engine considers such methods of placing links to be spam, which leads to penalties. And although buying links could improve a site's ranking in a short time, it most often leads to the opposite effect, since authoritative resources do not participate in such schemes.
The first sign of falling under “Minusinsk” is a sharp drop in the site’s position in search results and a significant decrease in traffic. For example, if your site was in the top 5 for a certain request, and then suddenly found itself in 25th position, this may be a signal of sanctions. Another indicator is the disappearance of the TIC (TIC) of the site: instead of the usual indicator, you will see an empty value.

The first thing you need to do to get out of Minusinsk is to remove all the SEO links that you bought. You need to remove both external and internal links. Contact the owners of the sites on which such links were posted, asking them to remove them.
Once the search engine indexes your site again, the sanctions will be lifted. The recovery process can take from one month to six months, depending on how often the search robot visits your site and the sites on which your links are located.
